Seniors’ Reflections

Per our tradition, we make time and space for our graduating seniors to share their thoughts, insights, and lessons learned from their time at Brown in order to help those of us remaining to “look carefully how we walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of time.” (Ephesians 5:15-21)

Here are some of the highlights…

  • God calls us to be a “light” to the world (Matthew 5:14), which includes our teammates

  • It’s because of my teammates’ support, as well as their loving encouragement to check out AIA, that God changed my life

  • There’s so much joy in walking by faith with other athletes, praying together, studying the Bible together…we must invest in these spiritual friendships

  • You’re not alone—there are many more athletes who value faith and spirituality.

  • Keep showing up—to your designated time with God, to Life Group, to Prime Time, to church—and God will honor and bless that commitment

  • God used AIA to transform me as an athlete, no longer viewing sports as merely mental or physical, but it’s profoundly spiritual.

  • Christianity is about relationship—to God and to others—and they intersect at the cross of Christ.
