Men Wanted and Needed on TWO Summer Projects

South Africa (Pretoria, South Africa; Jun 15-Jul 16): This 4-week international project is about modeling Jesus to others in both Word and Deed to those in the Mamelodi Township, the largest township in South Africa, where vast numbers of unofficial settlements with no running water and no electricity still exist. The main focus will be on an educational enrichment program to teach essential skills to learners from the township high schools in order to empower youth as members of the community so that they can gain admittance to University and create powerful change in their community. I was just told that Wildwood has only had 3 male applicants thus far.  It is creating a bottleneck where the leadership are having to put women applicants and student staff on hold until more men are accepted.

Dave, Aaron and the staff there in past years have done a great job creating a experience where students share their faith in a variety of ways, and especially in teams.  This experience is critical in seeing a faithful, ongoing witness back on campus and after graduation in students' natural spheres of influence.
